Though we are starting to see some positive signs the situation regarding youth community based team sports is still evolving and unfortunately at this time no definitive back to play rules have been established by the governing bodies. The Jericho Little League Board and Executive has been closely monitoring the situation, but a spring season will not be possible. This decision to cancel was coordinated with the other little leagues in District 1 (see attached letter) and consistent with other little leagues throughout the Lower Mainland.
We will continue to explore return to play options for possible summer or fall opportunities if it can be done in a fun and safe environment consistent with all health guidelines. However, if any summer or fall opportunities are possible it will not be the same as our traditional spring season.
Refunds and Donations
Given this decision to cancel the 2020 Spring Season and dedication to our community families we will be issuing full refunds to the original credit card or payment method. We appreciate your patience during this time and we will aim to have the credit applied within 10 business days. The refund will be applied automatically so no need to contact the Little League, but if you have any questions please contact admin@jerichobaseball.com.
The Board of Directors is taking all possible steps to reduce operational expenses, but certain expenses were already incurred for the season. The league will work to ensure these costs are recouped from other sources over the next two to three years. If you are interested in donating any portion of your spring baseball registration fees to our League, please let us know by contacting admin@jerichobaseball.com by May 31. Donations are not tax deductible. Any donations are greatly appreciated and will be used to support our continued mission to grow and provide Little League baseball to our community.
