Are
you looking for a way to be involved in baseball even when you are
not playing?
Are you
interested in learning leadership skills while having
fun?
Would you like to
make some extra money this ball season?
Then this umpire clinic is for
you!
The wonderful and
talented Steve Wexler has volunteered to run Jericho Baseball
Umpire Clinic again this year. Many kids have learned the basic
skills needed for umpiring from Steve over the years and Jericho is
looking for another great turn out.
Who: -
anyone who is at least 11 years old and wanting to learn the
skills to umpire
- I also ask all returning umpires
to attend the clinic (as a refresher as well as so I can meet
you)
Where: Carnarvon
NE ball diamond
When: 11 AM
Sunday April 13th
How: Please
include your name, age, phone number, and past umpiring experience
in an email to myself
Gayle Olver -
umpire coordinator
604 731 3456
Note:
many 11 years old did not get a chance to umpire last year
as we have many kids who want to participate. If you are keen, I
encourage you to come to the clinic anyway, as you may get games
near the end of the season, and will be more prepared for your
12-year-old year.
You must wear a cup.
Thanks
Gayle Olver

| WINTER BASEBALL PLAYER DEVELOPMENT |
Jericho Baseball
is pleased to sponsor pre-season player development for our
registered players 9 years old and up. The six 1 1/2
hour sessions will be run on Monday nights starting January
28th from 5:00 to 6:30 pm by Mike Wilson and Dave Harriman of UBC
Baseball. Mike and Dave have provided expert coaching and
instruction to our players for several seasons. The session
will be at the UBC batting cage and adjacent facility. Cost
per player for all six sessions is $75 (subsidized by Jericho
Baseball). Registration is first come first serve and is
limited. Please reserve your spot by emailing: playerdev@jerichobaseball.com
| JERICHO ELECTS A NEW BOARD |
|
|
Our AGM resulted
in changes to our House Rules for 2008...including the banning of
composite bats from regular season and play-offs, and the dropping
of the mandatory face cage rule. The election of a new Board
of Directors also took place with David Brackman, Robert Camfield,
Reka Gustafson, Jennifer Lindsay, Lois Nightingale, Bruce
Richardson and Rob Stephenson taking over. Congratulations
and best of luck for the upcoming season. Unfortunately
Jericho say's goodbye to Jay Vanderpas, our long time fields
maintenance person, and Greg Hook our Player Agent for the last 3
years. Contact info will be updated soon.

Please take a few moments to review, and consider stepping up
to help out.
